Last weekend

The SUDS travelled to Mumbles RFC to take on Mumbles RFC A team on Friday evening.  The result wasn’t what we wanted with the final score of 7-4 to the home side. 

On Saturday two senior sides took to the pitch.

The 1^st XV welcomed Maesteg Celtic to Fairwood Lane and won ugly twenty-nine points to nil.  To their credit the boys recognised it wasn’t their finest performance but no complaints to the five points secured with five tries scored.

The try scorers were Tom Davies, Mike Evans, Tom Crowley & Alex Margetts with a brace.  Peter Anson added two conversions.  Pictured is the ND John Man of the Match Daf Lewis being presented with his bottle of fizz from team manager Wayne Jervis.

The SURFs travelled to Morrriston the first half was quite an evenly matched with the score at half time 7-0 to the home side.  Unfortunately, despite a huge effort by the boys and a few substitutions made by the opposition the game ran away from us with a final score 31-0. SURFs Man of the Man was Barnaby Wells.

The Youths game away to Porthcawl was postponed due to the pitch condition.

This week/weekend

This Saturday the 1^st XV have a mouthwatering game at home to Aberavon Quins.  In the reverse fixture the boys came away with a 10-11 win however in the quarter final of the Division 2 Cup the Quins progressed to the semi-finals with a winning 8 – 12.  Kick off is at 2.30pm.

The SURFs also have a home league game against Swansea University the kick off time is to be confirmed again please come and support the boys in green & white. Bar opens at 1.00pm.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances Saturdays Battle of the Bands has been cancelled however plans are in place to hold a karaoke evening instead so if you can or think you can belt out a tune or two come along and entertain us. 

Sunday morning, we have Junior rugby, fixtures will be posted on Friday. Upstairs bar also opens at 2.00pm for the 3.00pm kick-off of the Wales v France game on the big screens.
