Last weekend
The SUDS welcomed Mumbles RFC B to Fairwood Lane on Friday. The result wasn’t what we wanted with the final score of 4-7 to the away side.
The 1st XV travelled East to Pyle on Saturday coming away 28-10 winner in horrendous conditions as the photo shows. Point scorers were Dan Bennett & Rhydian Luckwell with a try each. Peter Anson scored two tries and kick four conversions which put him passed the 100 points barrier for the season so far. Great achievement well done Pete!
The Youth had a WRU Youth Plate home quarter final against Llandaff but unfortunately it wasn’t to be for the Bontlands Boys who lost 15-34.
This week/weekend
Tomorrow evening (Thursday) the 1st XV have a semi-final game in the Towergate Plate against Carmarthen Athletic. The game will take place at Hendy RFC and there’s a 7.15pm kick off. Let’s have a big Uplands support to cheer the boys on into the final.
Friday evening the SUDs face The Valley again it’s a at home fixture, first arrow thrown at 8.30pm.
No Senior games next weekend but the club is open from 1.00pm on Saturday for the first Six Nations game of the weekend with Ireland v Wales at 2.15pm.
